“Must Say” Guide to a Happy Love Story

It is often that simple “words” are forgotten, especially for older couples.  In fact, the little phrases are very important.

Romantic and warm are best described a new relationship.  As a new couple, each date feels so heavenly and surely fun.  But, after few years, it is not as warm as before.  Although the feeling doesn’t change, but as we have spent many times together then the little phrases are ignored.  We only share important things.  Is this kind of relationship healthy?

This happens to couples who have the relationship for sometime.  It feels that “thank you” or “sorry” have been forgotten for those couples who are in comfort zone.  Maybe it is because they have been in happy and sad situation together for long that complementary is not necessary anymore.  In fact, those small phrases are important and unfortunately, people are easy to forget them.

  “Thank you” does sound very common as it is used in various events.  However, every people always want to be appreciated and saying thank you shows that you are grateful for what your partner did for you, no matter how small it is.  Don’t forget to look at their eyes when you say it.  This shows that you really mean it.  Well, since he always feels appreciated, maybe next time he will offer his help without being asked.

• How could I not love you?
  There are 2 things important in a relationship: flirting and share each other’s reason for loving.  There are many things you can say to make your partner happy.  For example, say that he has better-looking than Brad Pitt (although other people may not agree, but why not for you?),  or tell him how lucky you are as he is very understanding.  Flirting can make a relationship stay alive.  In addition, saying “I love you” can show how important he is for you.  So, from now on, don’t be too arrogant to say I love you to your partner.  Instead, start to pour him with words to make him feel loved.

  Come on, let’s admit how many times in this week you make him upset for various small problems.  Starting from 2 hours late for a date because you need to fix your hair or complaining when he is busy working and can not accompany you for shopping.  Eventhough you admit yourself that all of them may be your fault, but you hardly say sorry.  Don’t get it wrong, this short word has huge effect!  When you say it honestly, this word can end all kinds of fights and bring back all trust and comfort.  What you need to do is to say it honestly.  If you just say it without really mean it, it will hurt more than you don’t say it at all.

• I’m willing to work through this if you are.
  This sentence shows maturity and your commitment for the relationship.  If you are ready to be responsible and willing to solve the problem, then the solution will come.  It is not impossible to solve, even a huge problem, calmly.

• How are your plans?
  Many people ask their partner how they are doing without really care whether they answer it or not.  By asking his long term plans, you give enough time and space to tell important and interesting topics for him.  This would show that you are supportive, interested in him, and care about your future relationship.  So, don’t be surprised when he tells you that he wants to be a rock singer at 32 years old, just nod and smile.
